So the comments seem to be broken for the time being. They were attracting website crashing amounts of spam anyway. The Cornertable Wiki, where I was going to write and store whole pages has been destroyed by spam as well.

What that means is submissions for "What is the greatest Irish band?" and "What is the greatest Scottish band?" will be sent via email. v_arouetAThotmail.com.

I already know what I think, but I won't spoil the discussion.

here it comes . . .

This is the reason why I was listening to a Dio cover band in my own living room the other day.

This I do not comprehend at all. It appears to be a picture of softcore pornography, a sound clip and the lyrics to the song.

Why?

I really, really don't know. I am afraid to ask.

Props to Thalisha and Kylee for turning these up. I guess.

Go Here

Like an awful lot of people I find Wonkette to be hopelessly addicting.

Here's and example of why, in her coverage of the ongoing Massachusetts gay marriage debacle.
I like the Onionesque headline, particularly.

Gay Marriage Becomes Gay "Marriage"

annoying the annoying

We're all so very proud of Josh, who is growing up to be quite the public nuisance.

As reported in an AP story that has apparently been picked up by The New York Times:

Josh Grahek of Sonora stood upwind at a distance, close enough that the smoke from his cigar still wafted over the anti-tobacco activists. He carried a cardboard sign reading, "You have too much free time."

And that's not even the best thing he wrote on that piece of cardboard. The funnier, more detailed version of the story is recounted here.

You should check out The Midnight Blog.

There's an interesting pile of links there. It's safe, local and easy to use.
